Precision Industries is a manufacturer of premium quality stairing headquartered in Donovan's Industrial Park in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada. We provide stairing (plus doors and other architectural woodwork) to the domestic market and we also ship to clients all over North America and around the world.

The second you set foot on a Precision staircase, you will feel the difference. You might not know exactly what the distinction is, but it's definitely there. And we can tell you why: it's our relentless attention to detail. At Precision Industries we believe that a job worth doing is worth doing right. And that is why every detail of our work is done to the best of our ability, right down to the trim. Precision isn't just the name of the company… it's the driving force behind everything we do.

The Precision logo incorporates the mathematical symbol for pi - and it represents much more than simply the Precision Industry initials. Because we adhere to the traditional principles of stair making, we actually use pi each and every day in the planning and creation of our products. Each project - with all its complex angles and measurements - is carefully mapped out before we even drive the first nail, and to do this well requires a mathematical precision that's second-to-none.

The core Precision team is an award-winning trio of talented craftsman from home and abroad:

From the tiniest trammel point to the state-of-the art Torreda lathe system, Precision Industries offers you the best of the traditional practises, construction techniques and technology. We still employ old school techniques that other manufacturers do not, such as housing out a stringer by hand. This guarantees you a fine-tuned attention to detail and unsurpassed quality.

But we are not all old school. The concepts of traditional stairmaking are combined with training and equipment of the highest order. In March 2001, Precision travelled to Spain to purchase and receive training on our Torreda Hidropal Lathe System.

Torreda is a family-run manufacturer of the world's most advanced woodworking machinery and turning system technology. Each lathe they build is created expressly for the client, like our system, the only one of its kind in Canada! The Torreda lathe makes Precision a true "custom shop" allowing us to create specialized components, in any material, such as exotic woods. The possibilities are limitless!
